SolAudioLab Virtual Headphones
Windows 64-bit VST3 | Beta 0.6

Virtual Headphones is a free monitoring plug-in for comparing the tonal balance
of other headphones, earphones and consumer listening devices through the
headphones you already use. It can also apply neutral correction.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

- 64-bit Windows
- A 64-bit DAW that supports VST3

INSTALLATION

1. Quit the DAW.
2. Copy the complete SolAudioLab folder from this ZIP to:

   C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3

3. Start the DAW and run its plug-in scan or rescan.

The installed bundle should be:

   C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\SolAudioLab\Virtual Headphones.vst3

WHAT IS NEW IN BETA 0.6

- MY HEADPHONES, fixed FLAT and five Quick References are available together.
- A filled Quick Reference auditions its target in one click.
- An empty slot opens the target finder; its plain x control clears only that slot.
- Quick Reference slots are remembered on this computer and are not stored in
the DAW project or synchronized with the web tool.
- The graph follows the active listening reference and the version is visible.
- Text size and spacing were refined for clearer reading.

BASIC USE

1. Select FIND under MY HEADPHONES and choose the model you are wearing.
2. Select MY HEADPHONES for the unprocessed baseline or FLAT for neutral correction.
3. Select an empty numbered slot, choose a target, then use the filled slot for
direct comparison without moving the playback position.

Beta 0.6 retains 330 MY HEADPHONES models, 408 TARGET models and 93 Consumer
Check targets. It does not add or remove measurement profiles.

GRAPH AND LEVEL SAFETY

- MY HEADPHONES: response of the selected listening device
- TARGET or FLAT: active comparison reference
- CORRECTION: filters applied while listening to that reference

Safety Attenuation provides headroom and is shared by both listening states.

IMPORTANT: TURN IT OFF BEFORE EXPORT

This plug-in is for monitoring only. Turn it off before the final Export or
Bounce. Automatic offline-export bypass is provided, but manual bypass remains
the safe procedure because hosts do not report every export mode consistently.

PRIVACY

Selected models, Quick References, DAW project information and audio are not
sent to SolAudioLab. The optional notice area only reads a small text setting
from https://solaudiolab.com/virtual-headphones/plugin-notice.json outside the
