Using the audio tools without an account
You can use the core audio tools without signing in. Browser-only settings and saved items stay on your device. Microphone input and local audio files are processed in your browser unless a feature clearly asks you to save a reduced result or create a shareable report.
Tools are moving permanent saves to My SolAudioLab in stages. In Virtual Headphones, permanent workspace saves now use My SolAudioLab. Work made without signing in lasts only in the current tab. Data left by earlier versions stays unchanged for user-reviewed import, while device settings such as output volume may remain in that browser.
In Audio Analyzer, the latest reduced analysis may remain temporarily in the current tab. Named analysis records and output presets use My SolAudioLab. Older Unlisted report controls found on a device are copied only after you review and select them; the original controls are not automatically uploaded or deleted.
In Tuner, your last instrument, tuning and A4 reference may remain on that device as one unnamed recent state. Named tuner setups use My SolAudioLab. The device state is not uploaded or deleted automatically.
In Speaker Test, current playback, output level, source choice and local audio stay only in the current browser session. Named safe-start, output, source-order and note setups use My SolAudioLab. Local audio must be selected again on another device.
In Acoustic Planner, named permanent projects use My SolAudioLab. One short-lived project draft may remain in the current tab for up to 30 minutes, while panel layout, start-guide status and the last Virtual Listening headphone choice may remain as device settings. Projects left by an earlier browser-storage version are not uploaded, changed or deleted automatically and appear only in a signed-in review-and-import path. .acplan files are independent backups kept by the user.
In Metronome, your last tempo, musical controls, output mix, screen color and wake preference may remain as one recent state or device settings. A setlist being built may remain in the current tab for up to 30 minutes. Named setlists and completed Practice Timer records use My SolAudioLab. Setlists left by an earlier browser-storage version are not uploaded, changed or deleted automatically and appear only in a signed-in review-and-import path. The former TXT and JSON setlist file interface is no longer provided.
In Feedback Trainer, a completed report may remain temporarily in the current tab for up to 30 minutes. Completed scored sessions use My SolAudioLab. A Last Session left by an earlier browser-storage version is not uploaded, changed or deleted automatically and appears only in a signed-in review-and-import path.
In Tone Generator, current controls including playback volume may remain temporarily in the current tab for up to 30 minutes. Named Tone or Sweep presets and saved frequency references use My SolAudioLab. A frequency list left by an earlier browser-storage version is not uploaded, changed or deleted automatically and appears only in a signed-in review-and-import path.
In Delay Time Calculator, the current timing setup may remain temporarily in the same tab for up to 30 minutes while you sign in or recover from an account or network error. Named timing presets use My SolAudioLab. The tool has no Browser preset library or Browser-to-account import.
In Drum Machine, one unnamed latest pattern may remain on that device, and a temporary copy may remain in the same tab for up to 30 minutes while you sign in or recover from an account or network error. Named patterns use My SolAudioLab. Patterns left by an earlier Browser library are not uploaded, changed or deleted automatically and appear only in a signed-in review-and-import path.
In Rhythm Creator, one unnamed Current Pattern and output-volume settings may remain on that device, and a temporary pattern copy may remain in the same tab for up to 30 minutes during sign-in or a failed save. Named patterns and practice settings use My SolAudioLab. Patterns left by an earlier Browser library are not uploaded, changed or deleted automatically and appear only in a signed-in review-and-import path. The former TXT copy, export and import interface is no longer provided. Generated sound, live playback state, local files and device identifiers are not uploaded.
In Speaker System Check, the five guided listening tests, generated signals, output volume and live test controls work without an account and stay in the current tab. A listening-record form may remain in that same tab for up to 30 minutes during sign-in or an account or network error. Named system records use My SolAudioLab; there is no Browser record library or record export/import file.
In Room Clap Test, microphone measurement, the current result and same-session comparison work without an account. A bounded result and room-details draft may remain in the same tab for up to 30 minutes during sign-in or an account or network error. Named room checks use My SolAudioLab. The former TXT summary download is no longer provided; an optional PNG report remains a downloaded file under your control.
In Reference Tracks, this device may keep one unnamed Current List, playback settings and device checks so recent work can continue. Named playlists are saved only in My SolAudioLab after Google sign-in. A Current List may also remain temporarily in the same tab for up to 30 minutes during sign-in or a failed save. Older Browser playlists and track notes are not uploaded, changed or deleted automatically and are available only through reviewed import. The former TXT/JSON backup interface is no longer provided.
In Score Scroller, one unnamed device setting may keep the last full time, start delay, page trim and view mode on that device. Local score files, annotations and score-specific settings can be kept together only in an editable .solscore file under your control; they are never uploaded or saved to your account.
In Play Queue, one unnamed recent queue may remain in the browser so you can continue on the same device. Named playlists use My SolAudioLab and can continue on another signed-in device. The unnamed browser queue is not uploaded, merged or deleted automatically.
Information used for Google sign-in
When you choose Continue with Google, SolAudioLab requests only your verified email address and the unique Google account identifier that is used to recognize your account. SolAudioLab does not request access to Google Drive, Gmail, contacts, or offline access.
SolAudioLab uses this information only to create or find your account, protect your private workspace, and show your account email. Google sign-in tokens are used during the sign-in callback and are not stored as part of your SolAudioLab account.
Information stored in your private workspace
If you sign in and choose a My SolAudioLab save action, SolAudioLab stores the tool name, item title, saved settings or results, timestamps, and the account that owns the item. The exact content depends on the tool and the save action you choose.
Audio Analyzer account items may contain reduced analysis values and graph points, output settings, or an Unlisted report ID and its private owner control. They do not contain original or adjusted audio, decoded samples, local paths, device identifiers, or the original file name. A file name is included in an Unlisted report only when you separately select that option before creating the link.
Audio Key Changer account items contain a preset name, semitone shift, trim start and end, selected gain version, output format and user-edited text metadata. Original or processed audio, decoded samples, waveforms, local filenames or paths, file hashes, cover images, playback state, intermediate processing data, browser identifiers and device identifiers are not stored in My SolAudioLab.
Tuner account items contain only the setup name, instrument, tuning choices and A4 reference together with account timestamps. Microphone audio, pitch samples, detector logs, microphone settings, local paths and device identifiers are not stored in My SolAudioLab.
Speaker Test account items contain only the setup name, optional notes, a built-in source choice and order, output choice, safe-start volume and account timestamps. Local audio, filenames, playable audio data, decoded buffers, playback position or state, output-device information, local paths and device identifiers are not stored in My SolAudioLab.
Acoustic Planner account items contain the named editable room project: geometry, surface materials, openings, room objects, acoustic treatment, speakers, listening or measurement positions, persistent analysis choices and timestamps. Virtual Listening audio, filenames, paths, decoded or runtime audio, playback state, A/B snapshots, view and panel state, Undo or Redo history, calculated display caches and device identifiers are not stored in My SolAudioLab.
Metronome account items contain named setlists with song titles, BPM, time signature, subdivision, accent, built-in sound and memo, plus normally completed Practice Timer summaries. Output and click-mix volume, screen color, wake preference, generated click audio, live playback position, unfinished sessions, imported file contents or paths and device identifiers are not stored in My SolAudioLab.
Feedback Trainer account items contain completed-session score, level, round count, response and control scores, weak and best ranges, coaching text, move totals and reduced per-band statistics. Generated tone or pink-noise audio, PCM or buffers, audio nodes, live faders, unfinished rounds, timers, raw performance timestamps, playback state, local paths, files and device identifiers are not stored in My SolAudioLab.
Tone Generator account items contain a preset name, Tone or Sweep type, place, equipment and notes, frequency, waveform, output choice, harmonic amount, Auto Stop choice, sweep range and duration, or a bounded saved-frequency list. Playback volume, generated audio, audio nodes or buffers, active playback, local paths, files and device identifiers are not stored in My SolAudioLab.
Delay Time Calculator account items contain a preset name, BPM, time signature, optional user-written device or plug-in note, other notes and account timestamps. Delay, reverb, LFO and bar values are recalculated instead of stored. Raw tap times, tap history, stability, copied values, current screen state, Metronome handoff data, browser, operating-system or hardware identifiers and arbitrary extra fields are not stored in My SolAudioLab.
Drum Machine account items contain a pattern name, BPM, time signature, steps, bars, swing, visible track choices, the twelve-track boolean step grid and timestamps. Generated audio, audio nodes or buffers, playback and playhead state, scheduler or timer data, copied bar contents, share URLs or hashes, Browser item IDs, files, paths and device identifiers are not stored in My SolAudioLab.
Rhythm Creator account items contain a pattern name and folder, BPM, time signature, grid, steps, swing, sound choice, count-in, mute and speed trainer settings, the normalized rhythm step array and timestamps. Master, accent, normal and ghost output volumes stay as device settings. Generated sound, audio nodes, playback state, current step or bar, scheduler and tap history, share URLs or hashes, TXT or local file data, paths, tokens and device identifiers are not stored in My SolAudioLab.
Speaker System Check account items contain the place and speaker-system names, check and optional recheck dates, five completion states and allowlisted listening judgments, user-selected problem frequencies, notes and timestamps. Browser-generated signals, Web Audio nodes or buffers, active test and playback state, polarity or band controls, live sweep position, output volume, meters, spectrum, local or microphone audio, files, paths, tokens and device identifiers are not stored in My SolAudioLab.
Room Clap Test account items contain the room name, measurement position, a user-written device or microphone note, room-change note, other notes, measurement time, bounded analysis values, reduced decay and reflection graph points, reduced waveform evidence and reliability. Microphone recordings, raw PCM or full sample arrays, streams, audio nodes, automatically obtained device identifiers or track settings, permission state, live meter and countdown data, diagnostic logs or CSV, tokens and browser identifiers are not stored in My SolAudioLab.
Reference Tracks account items contain a playlist name and description, ordered official track identifiers or user-entered YouTube references, user-entered title, artist and tags, start and end times, loop points, notes and timestamps. Audio or video files, YouTube cookies or account data, live playback state and position, search history, local paths and device identifiers are not stored in My SolAudioLab.
Score Scroller no longer creates, reads or displays account-saved Score Setups. Private Score Setup records created by an earlier test build are not automatically uploaded, changed or deleted, and remain covered by account deletion.
Play Queue account items contain a playlist name, ordered YouTube video identifiers, optional custom titles, per-video IN and OUT points, playback order, repeat setting and a bounded resume position. Pasted URLs, public YouTube title or channel metadata, played-history records, YouTube cookies or account data, Google tokens, audio or video files, local paths and device identifiers are not stored in My SolAudioLab.
When a signed-in user shares a saved Play Queue playlist, SolAudioLab stores one random private-link identifier connected to that account item. Anyone who has the link can read the playlist name, ordered YouTube video identifiers, optional custom titles, per-video IN and OUT points, playback order and repeat setting from the latest saved version. The shared response does not include the owner’s identity, account item key, saved resume position, viewing history or device information. Opening the link creates an independent current list and does not grant permission to change the owner’s saved playlist. The owner can stop sharing at any time; deleting the playlist or the account also makes the link unavailable.
Account sessions use a secure random cookie. The server stores only a hash of the session token together with session dates and the account relationship.
Comments and tool feedback
You can send a public comment or tool feedback without signing in. SolAudioLab stores the nickname you enter, written comment, rating and selected feedback choices, the related tool and page, submission time, device category, browser language, and browser description. Written comments and their conversation replies are public. Ratings without a written comment are kept for internal product review and do not create a private conversation.
If you are signed in when you send a comment or tool feedback, the entry is privately linked to your SolAudioLab account so you can see your feedback history and continue your own public conversation. Your email address and Google account name are never shown with a public comment. You may continue to participate as a guest without signing in, and you can use the contact email for a private question.
Optional Blog email updates
Google sign-in does not subscribe you to email. SolAudioLab sends Blog email only after you select the email option separately.
If you subscribe, SolAudioLab sends your verified email address and subscription status to Brevo, the email delivery provider. You can unsubscribe from My SolAudioLab or from a link in an email. Deleting your SolAudioLab account also removes the connected Brevo contact.
Analytics and technical records
SolAudioLab uses Google Analytics and a private aggregate counter to understand general website use and improve the tools. The private counter stores the calendar date, one fixed approved key, one approved action type and the combined count. Approved actions can include reaching an analysis result, completing a listening comparison, creating an output, saving a workspace, reaching the middle of a Blog article after active reading or completing Google sign-in.
For approved Tool openings, Blog article views and Page openings, the private counter also keeps separate daily totals for a broad device category and a broad source category. Device is limited to Mobile, Tablet, Desktop or Unknown. Source is limited to Direct, SolAudioLab, Search, Social, External, Campaign or Unknown. Foldable phones remain Mobile. Screen size, device model, operating system, exact browser, full referrer URL, path, query and search term are not stored in these totals.
Those same approved openings and views also keep a daily country total. The request address is converted in memory to a two-letter country code with a local country-only database, then discarded; the address and any address hash are not stored in analytics. Unknown is used when a country cannot be determined. Country is only an estimate because VPNs, proxies, Tor, mobile routing and database coverage can differ from a person's actual location. No city or exact location is collected. Country data is provided by DB-IP under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License.
A successful Google sign-in is counted once per verified account during one Asia/Seoul calendar day. Analytics stores only the combined daily count for this action. It does not store an account ID, Google identity, email address, token or session ID. It also does not store an IP address, full browser description, referrer URL, query string, file name, headphone model, report ID or audio content.
For anonymous openings, tool actions and Blog reading reach, the private counter uses one signed cookie to avoid counting the same browser more than once for the same item during one Asia/Seoul calendar day. Blog reading reach requires an active visible page, reading time and direct navigation through at least half of the article. Exact reading time, scroll position and a visitor-level reading history are not stored. During a successful sign-in callback, the account record is used only to decide whether that verified account was already counted on the same day. The website and hosting service may also keep short-term security, error, and access records that help prevent abuse and diagnose failures.
How information is shared
SolAudioLab does not sell personal information. Information is shared only with service providers that are needed to operate the requested feature, such as Google for sign-in, Brevo for an email subscription that you choose, analytics services, and the website hosting provider.
Your choices and deletion
You may use the core tools without an account. You may sign out one session or all sessions at any time. You may also delete individual cloud items.
The account deletion flow in My SolAudioLab permanently removes your SolAudioLab account and connected private workspace data. Public comments and product feedback may remain as guest records, but their private account link is removed. Browser-only saves and files that you downloaded remain on your devices, where you can remove them yourself.
Deleting an account also deletes Audio Analyzer Unlisted reports that are connected to that account. An Unlisted report that was never connected remains separate and can be deleted with its management link or an ownership control retained on the device that created it.
Data retention and security
SolAudioLab keeps account and cloud data while your account remains active or while it is needed to provide the feature you selected. Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to protect stored data. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Policy updates
This policy may change when SolAudioLab adds or changes a data feature. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when the policy changes.
